Positive Behaviour Support

Supporting Positive Behaviours

I support individuals and families navigating complex behavioural challenges with clarity, structure, and compassion.

My approach is person-centred, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and neuroaffirming, recognising that behaviour is communication and that sustainable change begins with understanding the whole person, not simply managing risk.

By identifying the function of behaviour and addressing underlying environmental, relational, and systemic factors, I help create safer, more stable environments that not only reduce risk but meaningfully enhance quality of life and long-term outcomes, supporting individuals to move forward with greater stability, autonomy, and a life shaped by their own strengths and aspirations.

Specialist Behaviour Support Within the NDIS Framework

As a registered NDIS provider, I deliver evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support for children, adolescents, and adults whose behaviours of concern impact safety, relationships, or placement stability.

My work is grounded in:

  • Trauma-informed practice
  • Neuroaffirming principles
  • Ethical and transparent service delivery
  • Risk assessment aligned with NDIS standards
  • Practical strategies that teams can confidently implement

I am often engaged when situations feel unstable, when placements are at risk, when behaviours have escalated, or when teams require structured clinical direction.

Assessments and Clinical Services

I conduct comprehensive, structured assessments to provide safe and sustainable intervention planning, including:

  • Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA)
  • Comprehensive and Interim Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP)
  • Risk Assessments aligned with NDIS risk matrices
  • Environmental and Placement Risk Reviews
  • Restrictive Practice Identification and Reduction Assessments
  • Behaviour Data Analysis (frequency, duration, intensity tracking)
  • SIL Stability and Support Ratio Reviews
  • Clinical Reports for Funding Justification (reasonable and necessary criteria)

All assessments are evidence-based, clearly documented, and designed to provide practical direction for multidisciplinary teams.

A Structured, Calm Approach to Complexity

Complex behavioural presentations require more than reactive strategies.

They require:

  • Clear functional assessment
  • Defined team roles and boundaries
  • Consistent implementation
  • Risk-informed clinical oversight
  • Strong ethical foundations

When behavioural risk threatens safety or placement sustainability, timely and structured intervention is critical.
